My name Is Ludwig.
Helping and protecting the environment has been my passion since I was a child.



Since the summer of 2001, this wood land stole my heart. I have been lucky enough to be able to be part of the ecosystem and am now living in it and caring for it since september 2004.
I have and am still working hard in eliminating invasive species as Rhododendron ponticum and have encouraged usefull native species. I am now able to claim that a young forest garden is established with the goal to be as self-sustainable as possible.
My business relations to the outside world are only born out of the necessity to earn enough money to pay my way through life. I prefer to interact with the world mainly through swap, but that is not possible for everything unfortunatly. Try paying your council tax with a van load of fire wood. I wish I could.
This is my humble shelter. Let the first impression not deter you! I like my comforts like everybody else.



This home made burner made out of a gas bottle makes my shelter warmer and drier than a council flat! And fire wood enough in the woods!

Forgive me for not posting details on the web of how to come and visit this stunning bit of Scotland. I do not like hordes of tourists stampeding through the woods. But as you probably know: Scotland still belongs to the Scots and there is no such thing as tresspass! Visitors with honest intentions are welcome! Drop me a line and I will direct you.
